DARK GAIA'S PROFILE

I develop games and I write. I have a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing and journalism. I like writing speculative fiction, horror and literary fiction, sometimes all blended together. You can find elements of my writing in my games, because I consider my games to be stories just that happen to have gameplay.

I post updates on my Facebook and Twitter:

I would certainly hope you would, as I did try very hard to improve it markedly over the version you played. Of course, if you don't, then it's just a standard case of "can't win em all".

Hello. How are you doing?

To each his own, but I find it's often good to be a part of many different forums. I myself post on at least 5. It helps people get to know you better.

Indie vs. Amateur - an article everyone should read

Back on topic, yes the guy does make some valid points, though they seem to be directed to the truly ameteur of ameteurs, as when he talks about ill concieved features and unfinished games etc, he is generalizing what most nooby RM games will be like, but what he does fail to see is that there are ameteurly developed games that are truly well made and could sometimes stand up to most indie games.

How can he clearly define a line between indie and ameteur? He says that games "made in RPG Maker" are ameteur games, yet he also mentions the release of Eternal Eden "a wonderful indie RPG" in another of his articles, which was also made in RPG Maker.

Thanks for moving it, I was not sure if this was the right forum or not.

So, I take it nobody wants their game reviewed?

Oh, I do enjoy it here. I used to be at RPGRevolution, but NOBODY EVER SUBMITTED GAMES! There was so little inflow of material that it drove me crazy, so I started coming here 'bout a year ago, and I've been fairly satisfied with this community.

I happen to be a moderator from RPG Revolution.

I don't see why you have that opinion, games are submitted at least every two days in the forums. I'm constantly playing new projects.

Anyway, RMN is a great alternative and you'll find it very nice and very friendly.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Playing the Resident Evil 5 versus mode. It's hard but very fun and very addictive.

If you have the xbox 360 version, play against me to get owned :)

Nah, Ps3 for me. Shame, I'd like to face a decent opponent for once...

Well, seeing how's I's already played Extraneous, I'll go review that. And yes, I am using your idea. :)

Indie vs. Amateur - an article everyone should read

Ugh... This guy is so diluded that I'm not gonna waste energy typing what I think of him... Okay, I will say one thing. This guy seems very egotistical but very insecure. Basically, I think he's so afraid that an "ameteur" could make a better game than him that he has to shit on them.

At least everyone on Gamasutra is actively flaming the hell out of his article.

Now, I'm off to update my freewebs website and add a bunch of useless half implemented features to my game. In short, I make game because I enjoy doing it, not because I want to make a career out of it.

Review Mine, I'll Review Yours!

I noticed that there are a lot of games on RMN that don't have reviews, but probably deserve some, so I'm initiating a small challenge I hope will increase the flow of reviews around here.

It's very simple... I'll play a game of YOUR choice (including yours) and write a fully featured review for it but you first have to play and review one of my games, either Legionwood or One Night. If you play and review either one of those two games, and mind you it doesn't have to be a positive review, just a good, honest review, I'll hold up on my end of the bargain.

So, any takers?

Look and See...Ephiam's Art!

Wow, they look great. Sort of remind me of Corpse Bride or Nightmare Before Christmas in terms of their style and shape. I like them.
